Wow! I am sorry for your troubles! My name is Stefany, I am a hypnotherapist and I would suggest trying hypnosis and counseling. You can visit our office website at www.aplushypnosis.com for more info. Hypnosis is not scary or evil, your son is hypnotized everytime he plays video games, watches TV, or daydreams. We are hypnotized all the time, not realizing how it affects our subconcious (which controls 90% of our life).

I think it would be very beneficial for you and your son to seek some counseling services as well as hypnotherapy. I would suggest he see Jeanette Laitner, BCH CI  or Cindy Mier, CH, MS, LMHP. Jeanette has been a hypnotherapist for 20 years and has worked with children/adults with similar troubles. Insurance doesn't always cover Jeanette's services, however, and it can be pricey. You can always come in for a FREE consultation to get an idea of what we can do for him. Cindy is a liscensed mental health counselor and hypnotherapist at our office- insurance would most likely cover her services. Hypnosis can help find the cause of his self-destructive behavior as well as help him cope with whatever problems he may have. Your son must want help or atleast be willing to get help for this to be successful. I know it can be hard to think he would want to change or get help, but with behavior like that, he must realize deep down inside that he has some problems. You must let him know that this is his choice. Our office is A+ Hypnosis Wellness Center located at 515 N 87 St, Ste B Omaha, NE 68114... we are just north of 87th and dodge... I hope this helps and wish you the best of luck! you can call our office with any questions at 402-333-1069, I would be glad to talk with you!

    Take Care,

    Stefany

    Re: trouble with teenage son

your trouble reminds me of my own son at that age.  i ended up taking my son from his mother and raising him as a single parent.  i dont have a lot of advice for you, but will add that my son turned out great and now has his own son.  so, if you have the ability to have his father involved, it may help, if not, i guess im saying that things like this have a way of working out as long as the root of the family is faith and love!
